Embark on an early morning journey from Marrakech, heading south towards the majestic Western High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Moulay Brahim Gorge and picturesque valleys until you reach the trailhead of Imi Oughlad (1450m). Here, you’ll meet your Berber muleteer crew. Begin your trek, ascending northwest on switchback mule tracks for approximately 2 hours. Pass through cornfields, pine forests, and juniper trees, reaching the Tiz N’Tachete (2000m) where you can admire the breathtaking views of the Imlikl and Ait Oussaden Valleys. Continue for another half an hour to Imi N’Ifri, where you’ll have a delightful field picnic. Afterward, embark on a slow hike for approximately 2.5 hours southwest along a dirt track, leading you to Assif N’ait Oussaden and the vibrant red clay terraced village of Tiziane (1750m). Spend the night in a comfortable gite, immersing yourself in the local atmosphere.

After a delicious breakfast, set off on a hike along the Assif N’Ait Oussaden Valley. Traverse walnut groves and ascend to Tizi n’Taghrhourte (1995m). From there, continue on a rare almost flat stretch until you reach Assaka Spring, where you’ll enjoy a scenic field picnic amidst tranquility. In the afternoon, follow the edges of the forest, descending until you reach the Berber village of D’knt (1870m) or Agouns n Assoul, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.

Embark on a morning hike of approximately 3 hours, passing through walnut groves, cornfields, and barley fields. Greet local shepherds and witness the daily life of women and children carrying heavy loads of wood and dried herbs. Cross the Tizi n’Tagdalte and descend among the juniper trees until you reach a small spring, where you’ll stop for a refreshing picnic. Afterward, continue your descent for about 3 hours along winding tracks, arriving at a small river at the beginning of the Assif N’ait Oussaden Valley. Enter the village of Tizi Oussem (1850m) and ascend to the summer village of Tamsoult, where you’ll spend the night in a camp or gite.
